As is well known to all stakeholders (customers as well as service providers), our Organisation firmly believes in efficiency and accountability. In our quest for efficiency, in the past few months we have been striving to put the PAO ASC (AT) on an even keel and at par with other PAOs under this Organisation. I am indeed happy to say that the website for the PAO ASC (AT) has already been put in place and we are in the process of leveraging this technology to the advantage of all our valued Jawans. We had also, in the past month and a half, conveyed our intention of holding a Jawans’ Grievance Redressal Meet for this PAO on the 9th & 10th February 2012. This experiment which has been done in our Department for the first time, however, has been cancelled since a paltry number of seven complaints were received. This, paradoxically, also means that the PAO is in fine fettle. However, we are not going to be complacent here. Hence, we are initiating a move for such similar Jawans’ Grievance Redressal Meet for our other PAOs. We are in the process of taking action for the PAO (ORs) MEG & C.
I referred to the aspect of accountability in the earlier Para. As a proof of that we have already uploaded issues that concerns our own people, i.e., the Service Providers whose satisfaction and happiness is crucial in providing good service to the customers.
We have uploaded on our website all high value contracts concluded by this office giving out all the details and processes involved in signing of these contracts. Further, to mitigate doubts and grievances of our own staff and officers, all activities concerning their postings, requests, changes or deferments have already been put on our website. Since this is a new experiment we are undertaking, I would like to assure everyone that it will be our constant endeavour to improve upon our performance till we have achieved cent-percent transparency in our official transactions.
